Tantehorse

Tantehorse is a Czech theater company, which acts as a platform for original works, producing high quality, socially resonating productions, as well as a producing platform, creating space for new choreographers and authors in the field of dance and movement art.

Our front line includes movement productions that, since the beginnings of Tantehorse, have regularly achieved international renown (Light in the Darkness, S/he is Nancy Joe, Faith, etc.), multi-genre and innovative productions (Osudety - on the border of performance, installations and escape games), performative lectures (Fears), performative productions (30-hour Momentum), and above all the entire documentary series of autobiographical monodramas Invisible I.-III., about invisible women- artists with extraordinary life stories (Hannah, Barbora and Iris).

The second line includes productions that are created to support the mentoring of young artists, whether it is a tantelab, which is a long-term laboratory bridging the end of studies and a professional artistic career, in which performers, in a safe environment-962 gain both theoretical and practical stage experience in varied activities, as well as the Emergency Dances series, which gives young choreographers the opportunity to create their first original works. 

Tantehorse aims to bring new and original influences to the Czech dance and theater scene, investing in detailed research processes, cross-overs, and immersive projects.
